Just wandering through...
Feb. 24th, 2006 01:59 pmLast night I finally got to see Mirrormask (at the Glasgow Film Theatre. Which makes it the first time I have paid for a film in the three or four years I've had a UGC Unlimited card).
Very short review: Wow. Pretty.
Slightly longer review: Very cool. It would be very difficult to go wrong with a Neil Gaiman story, directed and designed by Dave McKean (provided that you like their work, of course. Which I do). It featured, amongst other things, juggling, the circus, struggles between good and evil, a quest, treachery and heroism, scary robot spiders and a sort of odd cameo appearance from the Finding Nemo seagulls.
And I really would like a sphinx but I don't think anything that eats books is really a good idea in my household.
