Mar. 10th, 2006 11:08 amHere goes for yet another attempt at keeping track of what films I've seen.
So far this year:
Walk the Line which was really very good indeed.
Underworld: Evolution. I've said it before and I'll say it again: being co-infected with two pathogens does not mean that you are a hybrid. But hey, T.E.P. and I are both fond of bad films and we weren't disappointed.
Good Night And Good Luck. Really rather good.
Wild Country. A small, low budget, very Scottish production about werewolves. I thought it was immense fun but I don't know if it would work outside of Scotland, since a lot of the humour was from the contrast between real people and standard Hollywood accents and attitudes.
Zathura. That was a mistake. I have an Unlimited card and I was bored. Those are my only defences.
The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was still on so I went back to see it again, this time with an eye to effects and such rather than the adaptation of the story. Stands up pretty well to a second viewing - but I was unavoidably reminded of
clockworksaint's comment about splicing scenes from The Passion Of The Christ into Stone Table scene. Thanks, Weeble.
Mirrormask has its own entry elsewhere. Visitation to see it again will be 1200 on Saturday at Cineworld (the Renfrew Street one, that is).
I'm obviously a born critic - notice that the better the film was the less I actually have to say about it?
