A Very Short Whitby Post
Apr. 27th, 2006 11:23 amWe have returned from Whitby. I shopped (although on a very reduced budget) to the tune of four or five good bits of clothing, nine books (I think) and as much chocolate as I could eat. T.E.P. cooked me crumble for my birthday. I wandered around with my camera. We had a good cottage at the end of Church Street, nice and close to the beach. Talhalla was a fitting send-off for
tals. It was a good week and I'm glad I went.
On the minus side, however, Whitby on this occasion managed to coincide with a rather down week, apparently. I can cope with down but not down and being around people so I spent a lot of time actively avoiding being social. This is annoying since there were lovely people there, both those I have met previously and those I haven't, and I was in no condition to actually spend time with them and/or speak to them at all, in some cases.
I say again, though, that I did have a good week. Here's to next Whitby.
