Films: Tristan + Isolde
May. 11th, 2006 11:33 amPlease do note that the title of this film is "+", not "and". This is important as it gives you a clue to what kind of film it wants to be. Remember Baz Luhrman's cool and modern Romeo + Juliet? Strangely enough, this attempt to make the film under discussion look cooler must have worked in part, judging by the number of neds in the audience.
Now, my film reviews tend to be short because human nature being as it is, there's only so much one can expand on "I liked it because...". This is not, however, going to be a problem with Tristan + Isolde. It sucked. A lot.
( My considered opinion is here if you want it )
And the final word has to be: that film wasn't even bad enough to enjoy, and I really like bad films. On which subject, further reviews will be following when I get around to writing up Tueday's epic four film cinema day.
