Possible gerbil sitting
Jun. 8th, 2006 09:58 amSome of you lot'll already have been asked this, in which case feel free to ignore. Also feel free to ignore if you are among those who have dislikes of animals / furry animals / rodents / this particular species of rodent [delete as appropriate].
My pal Bron, currently living in Northern Ireland, is selling her house and going travelling (notice, please, the restraint in my tone and the lack of name-calling...). This leaves gerbils needing to be looked after for somewhere around six months or so. This house is somewhat non-rodent proof (if it was, T.E.P.'d have rats by now) so we can't take 'em - but I did say I'd put out a quick shout just on the off-chance.
There are two pairs of males (the single female has already been relocated. I'd make jokes but I can't be bothered). Each pair can go to a separate home but the pairs can't be separated. They are Grendel and Nancy (who was thought to be a girl at first. I think it's still kind of an appropriate name, when you think about it), who are black and brown, respectively, and also Medley (Siamese-coloured) and Beowulf (brown). Bron says they are tame and happy to take food from your hand, and are used to being out of their cage if at all possible.
Distance isn't a problem, since Bron's considering taking them to her cousin in London if no other arrangements are made, so if any of you lot would like to gerbil-sit then delivery will be arranged. Thank you for listening.
