Just a quietly happy moment...
Jul. 10th, 2006 04:09 pmI have had lunch of crusty white bread, some with lettuce and yellow cherry tomatoes (courtesy of the farmer's market on Saturday) and some soaked in the leftover sauce from T.E.P.'s special roast tomatoes, followed by some black cherries and a perfectly ripe banana (for which read leopard-spotted with black. Your mileage will probably vary on when bananas are ripe). I have been to the gym and post-exercise endorphins probably account for the current good mood. I'd been in danger of forgetting quite how much exercise or lack of affects my mood.
This evening, I will (shortly) be going out to try my first yoga class, having finally gotten around to joining the Glasgow Club last week. For the not-local, Glasgow City Council has some truly excellent sports facilities (it's nice to see that astronomical council tax going to good use) and £16.10 per month will allow me unlimited use of them, including various classes (and I think also the climbing wall at Kelvinhall, which question I will be investigating this evening). I have a feeling that once I'm back to work I'll probably keep up the membership, since the approximately £35 a month full price is still decent value; however, I am bearing in mind where good intentions often end up...
It is very pleasant to feel happy. This may last or it may not, but I'm going to enjoy it while the going's good (and record it here for when it ain't).
